Terms and Conditions

In these terms and conditions, “we” “us” and “our” refers to Imperial Wines of London Ltd. Your purchase of our product/s is provided subject to the following terms and conditions.

  1. Description of Goods and Services
    We undertake to provide you with the wine listed in the Wine Reservation Form provided to you. By signing the Wine Reservation Form and returning it to us you are confirming that you wish to proceed with the order.
  2. Storage and Insurance
    1. Imperial Wines of London will provide you with information on an independent HMRC bonded warehouse, although you are free to make any arrangements that suit you, including the use of an alternative warehouse account.
    2. You are required to have a private storage account at a bonded warehouse in to which your wine will be transferred. Imperial Wines of London will not hold or store any wines on behalf of any third parties.
  3. Price
    The total price stated on the Wine Reservation Form is inclusive of all taxes and delivery charges to the point of transfer in to your nominated UK warehouse storage facility.
  4. Duty and VAT
    All goods are sold under bond and are therefore free of duty and VAT at point of sale. As the owner of the wine you will be responsible for all taxes, duty and VAT that arise as a result of the wine being withdrawn from a bonded environment.
  5. Payment
    Payment is due on confirmation of your order which is denoted by our receipt of the signed Wine Reservation Form. As these are high value products ownership of the goods will not pass to you until full payment of the total price as stated in the Wine Reservation Form has been received by our bank as cleared funds and the cancellation period has expired. We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
  1. Delivery
    We arrange deliveries to take place between 8am and 5pm from Monday to Friday. Unfortunately we cannot arrange deliveries on weekends.
    The warehouse where we store our wines arrange all deliveries “London City Bond”.
  2. Cancellation
    Under the terms of The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2013 you may cancel your order at any time and for any reason within fourteen working days of the date of the signed Wine Reservation Form. Your payment will be returned in full. If you do decide to cancel your order you must inform us immediately by telephone or by writing to us.
  3. Substitution
    In the event that the wine is no longer available at the time payment is received then the Wine Reservation Form will be cancelled. You will have the option of an alternative wine which may be subject to a different price or a full reimbursement of the amount paid by you.
  4. Proof of Ownership/Proof of Delivery
    1. Ownership is transferred to you once the wine is delivered to your nominated bonded warehouse account. Your stock holding can be verified using the online enquiry facility provided by the bonded warehouse web site or in writing by application to the bonded warehouse.
    2. Imperial Wines of London Ltd now accept major credit and debit cards. Wine will only be transferred / delivered to the cardholder’s private storage account or the address to which the card is registered.
  5. Governing Law
    The contract between you and us will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.We do not give financial advice or advice on investments. We do not offer any guarantees on a particular wines monetary appreciation potential. Imperial wines of London Ltd do not give advice on or sell En Primeur wines. Telephone conversations may be monitored in the interest of on-going training, compliance and for your protection.
